New programs and services will be added and measurements reinforced to ensure positive outcomes in priority areas including Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.
Timeline and Process
The Board of Directors voted to merge on June 19, 2017 with the goal of becoming a singe entity by January 2018. The newly combined organization will restructure its Board allowing 30 to 60 members with representation from both organizations.
The merger process will be lead by a new Board, President and CEO, Ryan Smiley, and an administrative team. A central administrative office will be decided upon through a team of volunteers from both organizations and counties.
What will be affected?
Programs will be improved and enhanced by initiatives geared toward priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship. Over time, resources will also be further allocated to enhance all relevant programs with a greater emphasis on teen programming.
